Meet Alysia
Alysia’s healing practices blend movement, ancestral knowledge, and practical expertise, reflecting her deep connection to the body’s innate ability to heal. Her journey in offering these practices is rooted in diverse experiences caring for people at all stages of life as a doula, nurse, and hospice volunteer.
In 2010, Alysia completed her Yoga Teacher Training with Kavita Maharaj of Red Door Yoga, offering regular workshops and classes until 2020. During this time, she pursued additional studies in Ayurvedic practices and Western/European plant medicine. In 2018, she completed training in Ayurvedic/Indian Head Massage, a practice that beautifully aligns with her holistic approach to wellness. After stepping back during the Covid-19 pandemic, Alysia is excited to return to offering these healing modalities, workshops, and community connections.
Alysia’s services, workshops and classes bring her movement practice together with her ancestral and practical knowledge as herbalist, wise woman, and creative soul. Her immersion in the magic of embodiment through her work and education as a dancer, student of yoga, body work practitioner, doula, hospice care provider, nurse, and mother provides endless inspiration.
Alysia spends her time outside her practice wandering through the forest and mountains, or exploring the lakes and oceans nearby in her kayak. She likes knitting, ginger, coffee, and cooking slowly.
